Hadith 28:831
Isma'il ibn 'Ulayyah narrated to us, from Ayyub, from Ibn Sirin, that a slave woman was captured by the enemy, and a man bought her. Her [original] master disputed with him before Shurayh. Shurayh said: "The Muslim has more right to what is returned to his brother for the price." He [the master] said: "She has borne a child for her master." He [Shurayh] said: "The commander's decree has emancipated her. If it is such and such, and if it is such and such..." He [Ibn Sirin] said: A man said to him, "You are more knowledgeable of the judiciary than Zayd ibn Khalda."
