Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 28:870

Husayn ibn Ali narrated to us, from Za'idah, from al-A'mash, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), who said: "The protection (dhimmah) of the Muslims is one; the lowest of them strives to uphold it."
