Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 28:871

Ibn Numayr narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Ishaq narrated to us, from ‘Amr ibn Shu‘ayb, from his father, from his grandfather, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), who said: "The lowest of them [the Muslims] may grant protection on behalf of the Muslims."
