Waki’ narrated to us, he said: Hisham al-Dastawa’i narrated to us, from Qatadah, from al-Hasan, from Qays ibn ‘Abbad, who said: The companions of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) used to dislike raising the voice at three [times]: at the time of fighting, at funerals, and at the time of dhikr (remembrance of Allah).
