Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 28:909

Yazid ibn al-Miqdam ibn Shurayh narrated to us, from his father, from his grandfather Hani ibn Yazid, that he mentioned that he came as a delegate to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) with his people. And that when the time came for the people to depart to their lands, he gave every man among them land in his country where he liked.
