Hafs narrated to us, from Hisham ibn Urwah, from his father, that Ukaydir of Dumah gifted a silk garment to the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace). The Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) gave it to Ali and said, "Cut it into head coverings (khumur) for the women."
