Waki’ narrated to us, from Abu Ma’shar, from Sa’id al-Maqburi, who said: Najdah wrote to Ibn Abbas asking him about the share of the kinsfolk. Ibn Abbas wrote back to him: "We used to claim that we were them, but our people refused that for us."
