Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 28:974

Narrated to us Abd al-Rahim ibn Sulayman, from Yahya ibn Sa'id, from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib: He was asked about a man who gives something in the way of Allah, how should he act regarding what remains with him? He said: "When he reaches the destination of his expedition, it is like the rest of his wealth; he may do with it what he does with his wealth."
