Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 7:123

Waki' narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Jabir, from 'Amir, from 'Ali, who said: "The *umm al-walad* (a slave woman who has borne a child to her master) suffices for the [expiation of] freeing a slave."
