Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 7:132

Ibn ‘Ulayyah narrated to us, from Isma’il bin Umayyah, from Nafi’, from Ibn ‘Umar, who said: The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, caught up with ‘Umar during one of his journeys while he was saying, "By my father! By my father!" He said, "Indeed, Allah forbids you from swearing by your fathers. Whoever is to swear, let him swear by Allah or remain silent."
