Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 7:162

Ibn ‘Ulayyah narrated to us, from Ibn ‘Awn, from Ibn Sirin, who said: They used to say: Whoever swears an oath, then sees that which is better than it, let him leave his oath, and let him do that which is better, and let him offer expiation for his oath.
