'Abd al-Rahim narrated to us, from al-'Ala' ibn al-Musayyab, who said: I asked 'Ata' about a few dirhams that his wife had sent as a gift to the House (the Ka'bah). 'Ata' said: "This House of yours is in no need of your dirhams, but give them to your poor. Indeed, the sacrificial animals are the gifts of the House."
