Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 7:219

'Abbad ibn al-'Awwam narrated to us, from Hisham, from al-Qasim ibn Muhammad, he said: I heard him saying: "That I give a dirham in charity is more beloved to me than that I gift one hundred thousand dirhams to the House of Allah. And even if a valley of wealth were to flow for me, I would not gift a single dirham of it to the House."
