Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 7:266

Narrated to us Abd al-Rahim ibn Sulayman, from Ash'ath ibn Siwar, from al-Hasan, regarding a man who makes a vow upon himself to pierce his nose and perform Hajj walking: He said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has forbidden mutilation. Remove this [piercing] and perform Hajj riding, and sacrifice a camel.
