Hadith 7:285

Waki’ narrated to us, from al-Hudhali, that a woman vowed to light lamps in a church while she was a Christian. Then she accepted Islam and wanted to fulfill her vow. Al-Hasan and Qatadah said: "She should light lamps in the mosques of the Muslims." Ibn Sirin said: "There is nothing upon her [to fulfill]." Their statements were presented to al-Sha’bi, and he said: "The deaf one [Ibn Sirin] was correct, and your companion [al-Hasan and Qatadah] was mistaken. Islam demolishes what came before it."
