Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 7:309

Waki’ narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Alqamah ibn Marthad, from al-Dahhak, who said: They used to have sexual intercourse while they were in i’tikaf, until [the verse] was revealed: "And do not have relations with them while you are staying for worship in the mosques."
