Hadith 30:88
Waki’ narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Habib ibn Abi Thabit, from Mujahid, from Abdullah ibn al-Harith, who said: The people of al-A’raf will be brought to a river called "al-Hayat" (the Life). Its banks are of gold reeds—he said: I think he said—adorned with pearls. They will bathe in it once, and a white mark will appear on their necks. Then they will return and bathe again, and every time they bathe, it will increase in whiteness. Then it will be said to them, "Wish for whatever you desire." So they will wish for whatever they desire. Then it will be said to them, "You shall have what you wished for, and seventy times more." They are the poor of the people of Paradise.
حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن حبيب بن أبي ثابت عن مجاهد عن عبد الله بن الحارث قال أصحاب الأعراف ينتهي بهم إلى نهر يقال له الحياة حافتاه قصب ذهب قال أراه قال مكلل باللؤلؤ فيغتسلون منه اغتسالة فتبدو في نحورهم شامة بيضاء ثم يعودون فيغتسلون فكلما اغتسلوا ازدادت بياضا فيقال لهم تمنوا ما شئتم فيتمنون ما شاؤا فيقال لكم ما تمنيتم وسبعون ضعفا فهم مساكين أهل الجنة
