Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:1023

Affan narrated to us, he said: Hammam narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Jahadah, from a man, from Ibn Abi Awfa: That the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to wait until he heard the sound of a sandal.
