Waki’ narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Qays, from a man whom he named—he thinks it was Abu Bakr ibn ‘Amr ibn Murrah—from Hudhayfah, who said: "Only the Jews do that," meaning by hanging [the garment] from below in this manner.
