Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:1056

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Hushaym narrated to us, from Mughirah, from Ibrahim; and from Layth, from Mujahid; and from Abu Ishaq, from Sa’id ibn Jubayr, that they disliked raising voices (clamor) in prayer. When the Imam mentions a verse of mercy, or a verse of punishment, or mentions the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.
