Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:113

Ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from Dawud ibn Abi Hind, from Shahr ibn Hawshab, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Ghanam, from Abu Malik al-Ash'ari, that he said to his people: "Stand up so that I may lead you in the prayer of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace." He said: So we formed rows behind him. Then he said the takbir, then he recited, then he said the takbir, then he raised his head, then he said the takbir. He did that throughout his entire prayer.
