Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:1166

Yahya ibn Adam narrated to us, from Zuhayr, from Simak, who said: I asked Jabir ibn Samurah about the prayer of the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), and he informed me that he used to recite in the Fajr [prayer] "Qaf, and the Glorious Qur'an" and [surahs] similar to it.
