Waki’ narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Abu al-Za’ra’, from Abu al-Ahwas, from one who heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: They used to recognize his recitation in the Dhuhr and ‘Asr prayers by the movement of his beard.
