Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:1261

Abu Usama narrated to us, from Habib ibn Shahid, from ‘Ata’, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: In every prayer, I recite. So, whatever the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) recited aloud, we recite aloud, and whatever he recited silently, we recite silently.
