Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:1292

Waki’ narrated to us, from al-Awza’i, from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir, who said: They said, "O Messenger of Allah, there are people here who recite aloud during the day." He said, "Throw dung at them."
