Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:1410

Waki’ narrated to us, from al-Dahhak ibn ‘Uthman, from ‘Abd Allah ibn Yazid, from Ibn Thawban, from Zayd ibn Thabit, who said: "One does not recite behind the Imam, neither when he recites aloud nor when he recites silently."
