Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:1640

Waki’ narrated to us, he said: Abu ‘Asim al-Thaqafi narrated to us, he said: I was with al-Sha’bi in the mosque, and he began to stoop down. I said: "What are you doing, O Abu ‘Amr?" He said: "I am picking up the reeds, the dry grass, and things [of that nature] from the mosque." He [the narrator] said: And Abu ‘Asim was blind.
