Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:1653

Al-Fadl ibn Dukayn narrated to us, from Safwan, from Ata’ ibn Abi Marwan, from his father, from Abu Dharr, that he used to pray upon the khumra (a small mat made of palm leaves).
