Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:1677

Ibn ‘Ulayyah narrated to us, from Yunus, from al-Hasan, that he used to pray upon a *tanfasah* (a small rug), with his feet and his knees upon it, while his hands and his face were upon the ground, or upon a *buri* (a mat made of reeds).
