Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:1826

Hushaym, Ali ibn Mushir, and Ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from Dawud, from al-Sha’bi, who said: They used to dislike shortening the prostration. And they used to dislike, when they came upon a verse of prostration, that they should pass it by until they had prostrated.
