Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:1876

Waki’ narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Dhi’b, from al-Harith ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) and the Muslims prostrated during [the recitation of] an-Najm, except for two men from Quraysh who intended by that [refusal] notoriety.
