Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:1948

Waki’ narrated to us, from Za’idah, from al-Sha’bi, who said regarding a man who recites a prostration verse (sajdah) while he is not in a state of ablution: He said, "He may prostrate wherever his face happens to be."
