Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:1956

Ghundar narrated to us, from Shu'bah, who said: I asked al-Hakam about a man who recites the prostration [verse] after the afternoon prayer (Asr). Al-Hakam said: Raja’ ibn Haywah came to us during the time of Bishr ibn Marwan, and he was the public storyteller. He used to recite the prostration [verse] after the afternoon prayer and then prostrate. Shu'bah said: And I asked Hammad, and he said: If it is during a time of prayer, then there is no harm.
