Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:1991

Ibn Idris narrated to us, from ‘Abd al-Malik ibn Abi Sulayman, who said: I heard al-Sha‘bi, and he was asked about a man who recites a *sajdah* (prostration verse) and it is at the end of the *surah*. He said: If he prostrates for it, he stands up and recites after it. And if he wishes to bow for it, he bows for it.
