Ibn Mahdi narrated to us, from Khalid, from Abu Uthman, who said: Lubaba narrated to me from her mother, and she used to serve Uthman ibn Affan, that Uthman ibn Affan used to pray facing a chest in which there were statues, so he ordered it, and it was scraped.
