Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:2483

Ubayd Allah narrated to us, from Uthman ibn al-Aswad, from Ata, who said: If you are in the mosque and the prayer has been established, do not perform any rak'ahs, unless you are in the middle of a witr prayer, then complete it with an even number.
