'Abdullah ibn al-Mubarak narrated to us, from al-Awza'i, who said: Hassan ibn 'Atiyyah narrated to us, who said: Abu al-Ash'ath narrated to us, who said: Aws ibn Aws al-Thaqafi narrated to me, saying: I heard the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) saying: "Whoever performs ghusl on the day of Jumu'ah and bathes, and goes early and arrives early, and walks and does not ride, and draws near to the Imam and listens and does not engage in idle talk, he shall have for every step the reward of a year's deeds, the reward of its fasting and its standing in prayer."
