5003. Ibn ‘Ulayyah narrated to us, from Yahya ibn Abi Ishaq, who said: I heard Abu al-Walid ‘Abdullah ibn al-Harith [say] that he heard Ibn ‘Abbas saying: I did not realize that anyone considered that there was any purification for the day of Friday other than the ghusl (full-body ritual washing).
