Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:2656

Ibn ‘Ulayyah narrated to us, from Layth, that Mujahid and Tawus used to not perform ghusl (ritual bath) while traveling on the day of Jumu’ah. And Sa’id ibn Jubayr used to perform ghusl when he was brought as a captive.
