Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from Hisham ibn ‘Urwah, he said: I sent [a messenger] to ‘A’ishah bint Sa’d to ask her about the Friday [prayer]. She said: Sa’d was at a distance of seven or eight miles, and he would sometimes attend it and sometimes he would not attend it.
