'Abbad ibn al-'Awwam narrated to us, from 'Umar ibn 'Amir, from Hammad, from Ibrahim, from Hudhayfah, who said: There is no Jumu'ah [obligatory] upon one who is at a distance of a mile from the head [of the settlement].
