Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:2755

Waki’ narrated to us, from Ja’far ibn Burqan, from Thabit ibn al-Hajjaj al-Kilabi, from Abdullah ibn Saydan al-Sulami, who said: I witnessed the Friday [prayer] with Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, and his sermon and his prayer were before midday. Then we witnessed it with Umar, and his sermon and his prayer were until I would say the day had reached its middle. Then we witnessed it with Uthman, and his sermon and his prayer were until I would say the day had passed its zenith. And I did not see anyone criticize that or disapprove of it.
