Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:2861

Abu Khalid al-Ahmar narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn ‘Ajlan, from Nafi’, from Ibn ‘Umar, that he used to sit in the *ihtiba’* position (sitting with the knees drawn up to the chest, held by the arms) while the Imam was delivering the sermon.
