Waki’ narrated to us, from al-‘Umari, from Nafi’, from Ibn ‘Umar, that he used to sit in the *ihtiba’* position (sitting on one's buttocks with the knees drawn up to the chest, held by the arms) while the Imam was delivering the sermon.
