Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:2927

Hushaym narrated to us, he said: Dawud ibn Abi Hind informed us, from al-Sha'bi, that Abu Dharr or al-Zubayr ibn al-Awwam—one of the two heard from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, a verse he was reciting while he was on the pulpit on Friday. He said: So he said to his companion, "When was this verse revealed?" He said: Then when he finished his prayer, Umar ibn al-Khattab said to him, "There is no Friday [prayer] for you." So he came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and mentioned that to him. He said: So he said, "Umar spoke the truth."
