Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:3027

Muhammad ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from Abu Sinan, from Abdullah ibn Abi al-Hudhayl, who said: They discussed [the matter of] Jumu'ah during the time of al-Mukhtar. He said: "Attend it, even if the water reaches the pebbles."
