'Abbad ibn al-'Awwam narrated to us, from Isma'il, from al-Hasan, that he narrated to them that the Adhan, during the time of the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), was when he went out. Then, when he finished the sermon, the prayer was established.
