Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:308

Waki’ narrated to us, from Ibn ‘Awn, from Muhammad, that he used to dislike that one prostrates while the toes of his feet are [like] this—and he described that he bends them toward the sole of his foot—and he said: "Spread them out."
