Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn ‘Ulayyah narrated to us, from Ibn ‘Awn, from Muhammad, who said: Some of the commanders lengthened the sermon, so I leaned on my hand until I made it bleed. Then I stood up, and the whips took me, so I went forth and exited.
