Affan narrated to us, he said: Hammad bin Salamah narrated to us, he said: Ali bin Zaid informed us, from Aws bin Khalid, from Abu Hurairah, that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "Indeed, at the doors of the mosque are angels who record the people according to their ranks: 'So-and-so came at such-and-such an hour,' 'So-and-so came at such-and-such an hour,' 'So-and-so came while the Imam was delivering the sermon,' 'So-and-so came and caught the prayer but did not catch the sermon.'"
